Committee Volunteer Positions Now Available

Family participation in Peninsula Youth Football & Cheer is integral to operate this non-profit organization. Your commitment sets a great example for your young athlete. Please consider volunteering for one of these committees starting now. 

PYFC

Registrar Elect Board Position

Organize registration, roster players, and run reports. Acts as Board representative at PHS for two hour shifts Saturdays during the season and attends board meetings. Three year term.

Social Media Coordinator

Determine organizational framework to manage flow of content. Collaborate with teams for content generation and develop social calendar. Post and respond to followers.

Photography Coordinator

Research and engage photographer(s), schedule and communicate details to team managers, including any approval forms, as necessary.

Concessions Manager

Manage concessions stand during games in September and October (at PHS field - every Saturday). This will include purchasing, inventory, set up, break down, and managing volunteers. This position should expect to engage additional volunteers to assist with purchasing, opening, closing. Attend PYFC Board Meetings.

Apparel/Spirit Store Coordinator

Coordinating apparel sales for the season. This includes online sales and any apparel stocked in the spirit store. Will work closely with an apparel shop on design and promotion for both football and cheer.

Kick Off Event Committee Chair

Lead to organize PYFC Kick Off Event. Help organize combine for registered football players and determine other activities to include in this event including concessions or food trucks. Kick off event is scheduled for the end of April or early May. 

Fundraising Chair

Lead two creative and fun projects that engage players and families and fundraise for all of PYFC.

Sponsorship Chair

Responsible for outreach to current sponsors and new prospects. Manage execution of sponsorships including payment and advertising fulfillment.

FOOTBALL

Head Team Parents – One Tides, One Seahawks   

Train team managers. Act as liaison between administration and teams including communication of organizational events, changes, missions, and news. May also be in charge of scheduling photo sessions, distributing team apparel, outreach for players in need of gear, depending on whether other volunteer positions filled. Attend PYFC Board Meetings.

Jersey/Equipment Coordinator - (Assist Equipment Manager Greg Moreno)

Help organize and coordinate jersey purchases from players for all PYFC teams at equipment hand out dates with Equipment Director. Communicating with Team Moms, ensuring all late registered player(s) have game jerseys ordered.  Coordinating volunteers and parking for all the events including equipment hand out and return dates at the PYFC storage locker.

Gear Swap Organizer

Coordination of collecting old gear from players and setting up at Gear Hand Out Day/Kick Off event for players to drop off and/or pick up FREE gear.

CHEER 

Coach- Grades 2-8 – Multiple positions available

Responsible for coaching one single grade level including two practices per week. Coaches provide positive leadership and develop their own warm ups, cheers and halftime routines. Each coach will have a team parent to assist communication of information to parents, manage paperwork, and organize end of season celebration. No experience required, tools will be provided to guide coaches.

Team parent- At least one per team

Work closely with coach to provide support including acting as backup coach for practices and games, if necessary. Make banners for football teams to run through and provide uniform support. Liaise with team parent from corresponding football team. Assist with parent and coach communication and organization of the end of season celebration.

Volunteer Organizer- One for Tides, one for Seahawks

Recruit parents to help with coverage of admissions, concessions, and sprit wear at home games. Help with setting up volunteers for uniform fittings. Set up Sign up Genius for events.

Event Organizer

Communicate with event leaders for programs such as March of Dimes and Race for a Soldier. Set up dates and times and communicate the details with coaches. Research additional events for potential participation.

Team Photo Organizer

Liaise with football to organize with photographer. Communicate schedule to all team parents/coaches along with order forms. Communication with the photographer will go through the photo volunteer.  

Uniform Support – Multiple positions available

Recruit and organize volunteers for fittings for both parade gear and uniforms. Organize pompoms, accessories, parade gear and uniforms and distribute by team to all coaches. Organization and attention to detail essential.
